Game draft: 3rd person shooter

I just make games because I like coding, I either get stuck because of an insurmountable code challenge or, more often, it takes so bloody long I get bored with it.

In this one I learnt a lot: health bars, respawning, weapon switching, following the player and a few key things about importing animation from Cinema into Unity. Most of the games in this blog were made before the big Unity 5 update that introduced all the nice filters that were previously only available to pro subscribers.

It’s proper buggy so no complaints but you can download here:

The controls are a bit odd, you’ll need a numpad:
WASD – movement
Space – fire
NumPad8 – angle up
NumPad5 – angle down
NumPad7 – bow
NumPad9 – shuriken
